We heard the music. We saw the flame. We drew to board. We played the game.
It’s midnight in Toronto, at the end of the Great War. Eleven socialites have gathered behind closed doors to practice the nascent Spiritual Science of Séance; the attempt to make contact between the living and the dead. But when their ritual draws in an unexpected guest, what began as a novel diversion from the everyday is torn open to reveal the horrific secrets that truly haunt them.
Séance will be playing in the Studio Theatre from October 7–11, 2025.
Presented as a double feature alongside Meat.
First Drafts will be a stand-and-sing workshop presentation.
Works-in-development
Theatre Sheridan is proud to continue its legacy of developing new works.
To start our season, the First Drafts program features new musicals by some of Canada’s best writers and composers. These workshop presentations will premiere 45-minute excerpts of three never-before-seen scripts in their earliest stages of development.
The newly minted Musical Development Project provides a unique glimpse into the creative process, showcasing collaborations between our students and artists from around the world. Come see these new musicals in their final stages of development before they become the next big hit.
